The Naked Bathroom

This project was developed in associations with Axor - Hansgroher. The pavilion takes its primary inspiration from the book “Invisible Cities” by Calvino. What remains of the city of “Armilla” is a skeleton of pipes, where its inhabitants enjoy taking baths. The “naked bathroom” also takes inspiration from more contemporary references, such as the “Microbial Home” by Philips design, as well as post-modern ones such as Joe Colombo’s “Total furnishing unit”. The project aims to tackle compact living as a luxury, its chromatic framework is composed of standard pipes and joints. The pavilion is later furnished with existing Axor products and plumbings, ready to be “plugged in” to the habitat.
