SELF SUPPORTING DECORATIVE FACADE

Following the development of the bronze tiles, reproductions of Mayan Glyphs and the experimentations with its Textures, this structure tackles the technical question of how to install the decorative tiles in a stable and resistant way. Understanding the process and limitations of metal casting with a sand mould as a starting point, the components of the structure were designed to perform as a unit system. This system is based on the design and development of 5 different elements. These elements are then stacked and attached using bolts. The ability to corrugate or change the direction of the structure insures extra stability once all attached together.
