SYMBIOTIC VESSELS

2018

hub of London’s cultural and artistic life. The concept draws inspiration from the existing water-closet extensions found at the rear of a row of terraced houses on Marchmont High Street.

Referencing the geometries and materiality of Victorian display jars, the design proposes a series of transparent, glass structures that merge utility with poetic presence. These vessels open onto public gardens, offering the community a space for quiet contemplation, relaxation, and artistic engagement. Functioning both as shared green space and potential gallery, the project blurs the boundary between private reflection and public display—reinvigorating Bloomsbury’s creative legacy.
