The textures produced through metal sand casting opened up new avenues for experimentation. This process generated fresh, extrinsic markings—distinct from the initial patterns—introducing a more contemporary aesthetic and greater control over surface articulation.
The newly developed patterns, marked by their symmetry and precision, enabled seamless tessellation of the tiles. This evolution led to the creation of the Self-Supporting Decorative Facade—a system where ornament and structure coexist, allowing the tiles to function both as surface embellishment and as a load-bearing element.
